Location: West Loop, Chicago, IL
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00am‑4:00pm (or standard business hours as assigned)
Duration: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour

Our nonprofit client is seeking a reliable and professional Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact at their main office. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a structured work environment, takes pride in professionalism, and understands the importance of maintaining a welcoming and secure office atmosphere.

Receptionist Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist visitors in a professional and courteous manner
  • Monitor front desk activity and control building access using sound judgment
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable reception area
  • Log visitors and manage basic administrative paperwork
  • Provide administrative support to office staff as needed
  • Follow established office procedures and security protocols consistently
  • Ensure a welcoming and secure environment for employees and guests
  • Other duties as assigned
Receptionist Qualifications:
  • Previous receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Good judgment and situational awareness
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable
  • Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment
